Mother and daughter outfits

Recently I bought several Japanese craft books from Kinokuniya and I simply adore one particular book with complementary outfits for mother and daughter. There are about 15 different styles and I intend to try and make all of them! So I guess I won't need to buy any clothes for a while and I like that! I started out by making one simple white top with strawberries print for Georgia. I also bought several beautiful fabrics from Spotlight and hope to make good use of them!

Here's the book (ISBN978-4-8347-2691-6) and some of the styles.

I made the top using this pattern. I'll be making one for myself too!

The finished product and my model!

They are so cute! I remember my favourite outfit when I was really little was a dress I had that matched my mum's. I used to beg her for us to wear our matching dresses all the time :)

That is so cute!!! I really like those Japanese Mother and Daughter sewing books. I'm so tempted to buy one on Yesasia, but I don't have an overlocker/serger. Also, I'm not very confident with my sewing. I will look and admire for the time being.
